Over time, general washing of cars will end up causing swirl marks in paint, especially noticeable on dark cars. This is also known as ‘spider webbing’ where down the side of the car, when light hits the panel they look scratched in circular patterns.
Additionally, general wear and tear on panels from people walking past and brushing against the vehicle as well as situations like driving down country lanes and bushes scratching down the side of the car can leave various marks and scratches. There are also other scenarios like bird droppings sitting on a panel can stain the top coat of the paintwork.
Fortunately, for many of these types of paint damage a re-paint may not be required and machine polishing can be the answer. Frequently we are able to machine polish the entire vehicle to return it back to a new look, removing all surface scratches from the vehicle which haven’t penetrated so deeply that they require repainting.
Get in touch if you would like to have your vehicle inspected before a lease return to see if machine polishing would be beneficial to you!
